Star Candle Holders. These Crimpable, metal candle holders that will fit 4″ chime candles, 6″ utility candles and 12″ tapers.

Everyone who has any sort of religious or magickal practice needs lots and lots and lots of candle holders. These lightweight, crimpable (bendable) candle holders can be easily shaped to fit various sizes of candles. While they’re not large enough to hold a thick votive, they are perfect for anything from 4″ chimes, on up to 12″ tapers.

Two Sizes: Star Candle Holders

The Large Star is great for the 6″ Ritual Candles and the 12″ Ritual Candles.

The Small Star is perfect for the 4″ Chime Candles.

Once you’re done burning your working lights, there’s a clean up tip for getting used wax off of them. Just stick them in the freezer for about five minutes. You’ll find that the wax contracts a little faster than the rest of the metal and so it will pop right off in most cases. Using a dull item like an old, flat headed screwdriver or a letter opener may help a bit. Don’t use anything sharp, like a knife because if your hand slips, you may cut yourself.

How Many Do I Need?

That depends on your individual type of practice. A general rule of thumb is to have four holders for Elemental work, seven for Planetary, twelve for astrological work and possibly ten for Qabalistic workings. A Wiccan practice might need eight to represent the High Days of the year and other practices may have other, important numbers. Of course, you may have some permanent altars that are dedicated to particular Spirits. So, it wouldn’t hurt to have at least a dozen on hand.
