Sol Powder – The light of the sun shows us the way, warms us, provides our sustenance and fills our hearts with abundant joy.
Sol (the Sun) is the King of glories, riches, titles and honors. As a Master of divination, He opens the windows of the worlds. Naturally, this is because the Sun sees all. Sol lends us His eyes and lets us borrow His Divine perspective.
Potentially, a drawback of His extensive rulership is overweening pride. However, He boosts self-esteem in the unhappy and brings light where once was only gloom. He rules over the Sign of Leo and exalts in the Ram of Aries.

As an example, Sol Powder is a fine ingredient to place in a yellow mojo bag. Along with this, place a solar talisman and six solar herbs.
Some of the suggested solar substances are Bay Laurel, Rosemary, Frankincense, Eleuthero Root, Cinnamon, Angelica Root and St John’s Wort.
Place a pinch of Sol Powder in your tarot bags, to facilitate better reading skills. Although, I mention previously… beware of arrogance! Never assume that something is gospel truth, just because your cards or anyone else’s told you so.
All oracles (and dreams, too) are limited in that they are reflections of reflections. No reading is ever more than a slice of the whole picture. To assume that you know that you know, because you know… is foolishness.
Many relationships, friendships and happy situations come to untimely ends, because someone believes a false reading. Naturally, use logic, common sense and real evidence; never operate only from divination.
Sol in the Qabalah
On the Tree of Life, the Sun finds its position in the canter, the Sephirah Tiphareth. The Divine Name is long, YHVH ELOAH VE-DAATH and the Archangel is Raphael. The Intelligence is Nakhiel and the Spirit’s name is Sorath.
Michael is the Archangel of Sol. His job is to bring forth the Divine LVX (light) which illuminates the hearts of men, that they might adore the Creator.
This all sounds fairly pious and Holy but be warned that the Spirits of the solar sphere are agents of extraordinary power. They regularly deal with the highest mortal rulers of the Earth and the Angels of Heaven, alike.
Merely rubbing elbows with these Spirits might exacerbate any issues of pride that lie in the magician’s heart. Take great care to remain humble in your dealings with them. Otherwise, one runs the risk of sliding into hubris, a surefire precursor to failure.
Music of the Spheres
Solar Spirits are particularly fond of stringed instruments and offering some music should please them, greatly. Apollo is a solar God and He is usually depicted with a lyre. He is also a God of poetry and brings inspiration to the craft.
