Rune Reading by Magus
Runes are a set of glyphs or symbols that form specialized alphabets. These were once used by ancient Germanic and Scandinavian peoples. Three runic alphabets are widely known and accepted. They are the Elder Futhark, the Anglo-Saxon Futhorc and the Younger Futhark.
The rune symbols are similar to Hebrew in that they carry not only a name and a symbol but a meaning. Therefore they can be “cast” or drawn from a lot bag and used to answer questions, being interpreted by which symbols show up and the orders they are in, the patterns they create when they fall and their proximity to the querent (the person asking the question).
