Uses for Passionflower
Passionflower is commonly thought of as inciting passion (seems obvious enough, right?) but it’s really a misnomer. Passionflower calms the passions and it finds its greatest use in blessing work, especially for the home. It’s useful in forming and maintaining friendships and it can be useful in love matters but mainly one party is just too nervous to even approach the other.
Use this herb in sachets or take a pinch and place about the house in a five spot pattern. That means one pinch in each corner and then one pinch in the center of the room. You can also do one in each corner of the whole house and one in the center of the house. Or take a white Mojo Bag and put Passionflower, Lemon Balm and Blessed Thistle in it. Breathe the Lord’s Prayer into it and then tie it off tight. Do this on a Sunday, right at dawn and then take this up over the main entrance to the home and once in a while, feed it with some Blessing Oil, by dabbing it on the mouth of the bag (where you tied it).
Then go around and spray Peace Water, reciting the Psalms or whatever prayers are appropriate for your, individual practice. Invites warm, friendly energy and it even takes a 2% edge off of all that nasty energy your in-laws bring in. Two percent is not a whole lot but I’m willing to bet you’ll take it.
