Uses for Myrrh
Myrrh is a staple of the esoteric practitioner’s supply closet. It has the dark and mysterious scent of ancient, lost mysteries.
A twisting energy, this substance can be tricky and hence, it should be used in combination with another, guiding force, such as Frankincense. Traditional church incense is a blend of Frankincense and Myrrh.
Left to their own devices, twisting herbs, roots and resins move in unpredictable directions. Combine your Myrrh with higher, Divine energies and it will behave more graciously.
Closely related to the planet Saturn, it is suitable for any kind of spell work that calls for seriousness, determination, immovable power or land-based sorcery, anything to do with property, the Earth itself, the home, agriculture, etc.
Saturn rules over prisons, contracts, slavery, anything to do with preserving the status quo. It’s perfect for binding, holding down dangerous people and locking in desirable situations.
Two forms are offered here; you get to choose between the chunk resin and the powdered form. If you need Myrrh but don’t want to grind it into powder by hand, then you’ll want the powdered form. It is ideal for compounding your own incense blends, without too much fuss.
Some people want the chunks, as the personal act of grinding the resin chunks gives the opportunity to program it with your intent. That process of prayer and recitation empowers it and tunes it to your will. You can grind the Myrrh chunks into a powder using a mortar and pestle or place the chunk pieces directly on burning charcoal.
For external use only. Do not ingest.
