Light Setting

Light Setting is the simplest form of conjure that I do and regardless of your budget, it gives you options. I burn one or more ritual candles on your behalf, for your, specific need. Spiritualist churches still use this practice but the way I do it is far more in the arena of Ceremonial Magick and sorcery or Hoodoo.

There are three sizes of this service:

Small

I burn a small light for you and that is either a 4″ chime or a 6″ candle or a configuration of tea lights and it just depends on the situation. I use a picture of you (or the person you want to pray for) and I make up a special petition paper for the work. This petition paper is custom, for you, for this particular work and you see it… I send you a picture. Just as I dress the candle(s) with the right conjure herbs, oils and powders, I say the conjurations on your behalf, to the appropriate Spirit. I pick one who grants the types of requests that you need for your situation.

Large

I use a large, glass, seven day candle or I use a specific figural candle. Figural candles are particular shapes, like a man, woman, cat, pyramid, skull, male or female genitalia, etc. They have crosses and seven-knob candles and you name it, there is one out there. I put your spell petition forward, one time and I use a photo that you send me. A petition paper will show your request and I dress the paper with appropriate oils, herbs and so on. The Spirit I choose to call on is really up to the situation you are in and as always, you get a photo, so you know work is happening for you. I let you know how it’s burning, so you know what’s going on.

Below is an example of a large Light Setting. You see here a vigil candle for a patron, enlisting the help of La Santisima Muerte. The charcoal in front shows how I daily burn the incense that I use in the offerings.

 

Deluxe

I choose an appropriate type of 7 day, glass, novena candle for your work. A type of figural candle is sometimes the best choice but sometimes an array of tea lights and 6″ candles is better than a glass novena. We include a food and drink offering to the Spirits and you still get the other things, too… the petition paper, photo, herbs, oils, powders, etc. I use careful, astrological timing and your spell petition gets prayed each day, until the light burns out. The food and drink offerings are for extra power, to make it more effective. Part of the service is that you don’t need to know all the proper colors, incenses, the foods that the individual Spirits like, what prayers to use, etc. Instead, I do all of that for you and you get the satisfaction of knowing that someone is intervening on your behalf.

Below is an example of a Deluxe Light Setting made to Ganesha, on behalf of a patron. In some cases, large candles are used and in others, like this one, smaller candles are used but burned daily for a specific period, along with food, water, incense, etc.

 

This is an offering to Ganesha, for a different patron but only the food portion is in this picture. I always block out Patron photos and this helps protect their privacy.

 

 

Light setting is an excellent way to tap the power of Elemental Fire and direct it toward your intention. Get me to set a light for you and let the magick bring beneficial things your way. Two, like minds become greater than the sum of their parts and this blending, amplifies the effect. As Christ said “Wherever two or more are gathered in my name, I am there with them”. The prayers are even stronger if I say them on my end and you also say them yourself, on your end.
